- This all started with a harmless little prank. So here the story goes... Once upon a time a very sweet, loving, and innocent young lady was so kind as to take her brother-in- law's gnome on holiday. Truthfully, she stole the damned thing just to annoy him. "Hmm..how funny it would be to send the gnome with Dad and Mom to Italy on vacation and take some pictures." Then, the ever wise and sneaky young woman that she was decided that it would be even MORE fun to send the gnome on as many adventures possible before the end of the year. Sooooo, the wise/sneaky young woman had her mother start a scrapbook of the many places the gnome would go and she then sent her friends and family on the wild task of getting this gnome to as many places as possible. And what you read here is the story of "A Year In The Life Of A Gnome" because, frankly, none of the rest of us have a life either and are living our lives vicariously through a STUPID Gnome!!!
